A complete sentence is a sentence that shows a complete thought. It has to have a subject and a predicate.
Example- When at the beach, Jill loves to play in the water!

A run-on sentence happens when two sentences run together without a connecting word or punctuation.
Example: I love to collect shells on the beach they are each unique and special in their own way.
How to fix a Run-On Sentence
Add a comma AND conjunction
Use a Semi Colon (;)
