A complete sentence is a sentence that shows a complete thought. It has to have a subject and a predicate.

Example- When at the beach, Jill loves to play in the water!

A fragment is an incomplete thought that is missing a subject or predicate.

Run-Ons

A run-on sentence happens when two sentences run together without a connecting word or punctuation.

Example: I love to collect shells on the beach they are each unique and special in their own way.

How to fix a Run-On Sentence

Add a comma AND conjunction

Use a Semi Colon (;)

The beach is a peaceful place I do most of my best thinking there.
