Passive vs active voice

What are we doing this lesson?
Learning Intentions:
We will learn about active and passive voices, and when to use them. We are learning this because writers need to be intentional about voice in order to ensure clarity. Using active voice often improves clarity, while passive voice can help avoid unnecessary repetition. Active voice can help ensure clarity by making it clear to the reader who is taking action in the sentence.
Success Criteria:
We can identify both active and passive voices in our own and other's writings. We can rewrite sentences into active and/or passive voice.
