Rosa Parks
During the Civil Rights Movement, Rosa Parks was a defiant women in the eyes of the opressors. She stood for freedom, liberty, and justice as she sat at the front of the bus where no Black woman or man should have been.

Rosa Parks is selected as secretary of the Montgomery NAACP branch and then later, in 1949, becomes advisor to the youth counsel of the NAACP.

Although the Supreme Court ruling was a huge feat for the Black Community, it wasnt enough. The Civil Rights Movement finally eneded in 1968 through the efforts of Rosa Parks, MLK, and many more figures. In her final days, Parks was awarded the Medal of Freedom in 1996, and died in 2005.
