MATHS IDEAS:

  1. Prepare an estimate / budget for a project.
  2. Look at salaries / tax / national insurance / pensions when looking at job opportunities and industry related work.
  3. Convert numbers: averages, percentages or fractions for comparison (for example when working out their scores on tests over time or working out the discount/difference on industry products from different suppliers).
  4. Looking for statistics in research to justify ideas then analyse and compare.
  5. Changing information into graphs / diagrams / pie charts.
  6. Creating timetables / schedules of work with estimated dates / hours to complete for each task.
  7. Explaining the data presented in a graph / chart / diagram in verbal or written format.
  8. Using scale to create diagrams / maps / plans / models.
  9. Using formula to work out area / volume or value in an industry context.
  10. Problem solving scenarios.
