That's right! The sun is the ultimate source of energy for life on Earth, including YOUR life!
Select an organism that uses the sun's energy to make food energy.
YES! Photosynthesis occurs in a plant's leaves.
Each leaf is made up of many cells. Within each cell are several organelles that each have an important job. The chloroplasts are like the kitchens of the cell where the food (glucose) is made.
Plant Cell
Select the part of the plant cell diagram that shows where photosynthesis occurs.
Plant Cells Under a Microscope
Now select a chloroplast that's shown in the image of plant cells under a microscope.
It's starting to get a little chilly. Soon it will be time to fly south.

"Tape" the orange dot cards to the correct blue dot cards by dragging them on top of each other. To separate a pair, click on the tape between them. If the cards are correctly matched, clicking the blue checkbox will reveal directions for you to follow.
