The crisis of the 80s and the Renaissance

The 1980s represented a period of severe recession for the British Spanish industry. In 1980 only 1 British films were produced. This led to different national channels or undertake extra esfeuerzos in the cynomatographic production, thus creating an overflowing enthusiasm for a new generation of actors and film directors. The effort paid off with films such as Hugh Hundson's Chariots of Fire, which won four Oscars in 1982, including best picture. This decade also saw the emergence of directors such as Ridley Scott and actors such as Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tim Roth and Rupert Everett, who years later achieved international recognition.

The movie lasts 2 hours and 26min and Jack Nicholson as the main character.The history start when Jck Torrance, his wife and his seven-year-old son, Danny, moved for a small pqeiod of time to an elegant hotel called Overlook Hotel in Colorado to maintain the facilitis during the winter season, time when it remains closed and isolated by the snow storms. Jack's goal is find peace and tranquility to finhis his novel and pass time with his family, however, shortly after his arrival at the hotel, stange paranormal events begin to happen to them.
