What is responsibility and acountability?

Responsibility and acountability work together. When you are responsible, you are displaying accountability by taking ownership of your actions and its results, whether it doesn't end up being the way you expected.

Work Ethic and Character

Your work ethic is a reflection of your charcter. When those around you witness that you go above and beyond to do your work, it would show that you are dedicated and value your job.

Not My Fault

When you deny or avoid admitting that you made a mistake, this shows how you are irresponsible. It displays that you are willing to blame others for your actions which negatively affects your reputation in the work place.

Taking Ownership

Taking ownership of your actions is a great way to show your work place that you have good intentions and it overall shows that you are a team player whom is ready to take ownership of you mistakes and is ready to learn from them.

Conclusion

I therefore conclude that when you show accountability for your mistakes in the work place, you are displaying that you are a responsible employee.
