You've read the book and seen the movie, What are the names of the characters from The Outsiders?

Objectives:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.8.3 Analyze how particular lines of dialogue or incidents in a story or drama propel the action, reveal aspects of a character, or provoke a decision.CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RI.8.1 Cite the textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

Characterization: Full Body Poster

Short Group Project to practice Characterization This will be done in 2 classes

Step 1: Build teams of 3-4 students Step 2: Randomly assign a character to each group. Step 3: Individually, each student completes the Character Planning worksheet of the character they got (20 min.) *If you have doubts as to what goes in each section, there's an explanation posted to Schoology. Step 4: By teams, choose the information you will use and complete all parts of the Full Body Poster of your character. This includes coloring and pasting pieces together (45 min) Step 5: As a team, you will grade yourselves using the rubric. Your teacher will review how you graded yourselves, make adjustments (if needed) and post your final grade in the assignment.
