Engagement Hours

To be eligible for the badge, every student is required to complete 40 or more hours of employer engagement. A variety of methods for completing these hours are available, so talk with your instructor about your options.

Thank You

Before the Maine Career Exploration Badge can be awarded, you will be asked to thank the employers and other community members who have helped you in your career exploration journey.

Career Exploration

The first step toward earning the Maine Career Exploration Badge is demonstrating self-awareness and thinking aspirationally about your future. You will complete a series of activities and assignments designed to help you think critically about your own values and goals, as well as the types of careers and educational paths that may fit you best.

Final Reflection

One of the final steps in the path to earning the Maine Career Exploration Badge is reflecting on the learning you have done—including learning through both the academic tasks as well as the hands-on employer engagement activities—in a comprehensive way.
