At the end of the lesson, I can recognise and analyse the setting in a simple fictional story.

At the end of the lesson, I can distinguish between adjectives, nouns, and adverbs in a story and apply them correctly.

Now that you have watched/listened to the video you should be able to answer the following questions:

  • What is setting?
  • Why is setting important?
  • What can you infer from the setting?

Reading

  • Read chapter 2 of The Iron Man in silence for 10 minutes.
  • Then, answer the questions of the assignment. Look for the answers in the text.
  • Work individually or in pairs.
  • Finished? Write a summary of the concepts (figures of speech & parts of speech) you have learnt today in your notebook.
