Argumentative writing is...

Writing that argues a point and provides logical reasoning and credible evidence to support that point while also considering the ideas of opposing arguments.

CLAIM EXAMPLES

  • The United States Federal Government should increase funding to the Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Online learning is more effective than learning in the classroom.
  • NASA should send an expedition to Mars.
  • Young people under the age of 13 should not be allowed to have social media accounts.
  • Children under three should be limited to under two hours of screen time per day.
  • The teaching profession is not valued in America.
