Writing that argues a point and provides logical reasoning and credible evidence to support that point while also considering the ideas of opposing arguments.
CLAIM EXAMPLES
- The United States Federal Government should increase funding to the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Online learning is more effective than learning in the classroom.
- NASA should send an expedition to Mars.
- Young people under the age of 13 should not be allowed to have social media accounts.
- Children under three should be limited to under two hours of screen time per day.
- The teaching profession is not valued in America.
