CRETACEOS PERIOD

- Lasted 75 million years - Longest and last period in the mesozoic Era - During this time the entire planet was much warmer. Forrests covered the whole world and dinosaurs roamed. Humidity was high and volcanic events were very high as well. - The most major event happened towards the end of the Cretaceos period where we see the great extinction event of the dinosaurs and most other life on Earth. - This is the first time we see flowering plants!
