UNDERSTANDING INJECTORS
The Gasoline Injector has now become a critical factor in the correct and efficient running of the modern Closed Loop, Emission and Environment Lambda Controlled Fuel Injected Engine Management Systems, where combustion of the fuel is not important, its critical. Every injector has THREE main functions:
FUEL DELIVERY

Question: 4 / 12
UNDERSTANDING INJECTORS
Fuel Delivery:
- All injectors must deliver exactly the same fuel value, the value of the fuel delivered can vary from engine to engine and from injector manufacturer to manufacturer.
- Data on how much fuel should be delivered is not readily available, but as a rule and with the exception, of the odd DUAL injector systems, ALL injectors on the engine must deliver the same quantity.
- Failure to deliver matched quantities will result in incorrect running of the engine.
Spray Pattern:The injector Spray Patterns play a very critical function in the design of the injector. It has TWO functions during its operation
UNDERSTANDING INJECTORS
Fuel Distribution:
- The distribution of the fuel is the designated point in the length of the spray pattern where the fuel should begin atomising.
- If the injectors should not all atomise in the same point, the AIR/FUEL ratio will change, giving an imbalance in the combustion sequence.
UNDERSTANDING INJECTORS
Fuel Atomisation:
- The atomisation of the fuel has become the important factor in the function of the injector, Fuel Droplet Formation is critical to maximum combustion.
- Smaller droplets of fuel will provided more efficient combustion, injectors are now required to perform to much higher tolerances.

SETTING UP YOUR MACHINE
Remove any packaging or plastic protectors from the machine
Remove the fluid tank lid and the display window
Fill the tank with 5 litres of Flow Test Fluid NOTE: The fluid level should be just below the return pipe
Replace the fluid tank lid and the display window
Using ASNU 41 Bio Clean Ultrasonic Cleaning Fluid, fill the Ultrasonic Bath up to the 'level sensor' pick-up on the left hand side (ensure the fluid is halfway up the metal button in the centre of the pick up) NOTE: Exceeding this level reduces the efectiveness of the ultrasonic action.
Place the Ultrasonic injector cradle inside the bath
SETTING UP YOUR MACHINE
Plug the injector harness into the socket on the side of the machine
Plug the power lead into the socket at the back of the unit
Plug the other end of the lead into the mains socket and switch the power ON
The machine will bleep and the LCD display will display the Welcome Screen

MAINTENANCE
4.Change the measuring cylinders
1.Clean the exterior of the injectors
Your ASNU Injector Service System is designed to give you many years of reliable service with a minimum amount of maintenance. The signle most important point is cleanliness. Injectors are designed and built to tolerances that are measured in MICRONS and dirt is the worst enemy of injecots and your ASNU Injector Service System. To keep your ASNU at peak performance you should adhere to some basic procedures:
3.change the fluids and filters regularly
2.Never mix fluids
