- Curriculum Mapping is a reflective process where districts analyze content taught throughtout a school year and how it aligns with student success outcomes (Chalk Admin Leadership, 2021). - This process allows teachers to make improvements for future students and within their own teaching practices (Chalk Admin Leadership, 2021).

What is it?
- A pacing guide is a document that is created by districts to help teachers plan out lessons for content that will be seen on state standardizing tests (Lynch, 2022). - Pacing guides can be most helpful for new teachers who need to know what the district expects them to teach throughout a school year. Veteran teachers are already aware of these content expectations and can make their own modifications as seen fit (Lynch, 2022).
Lesson Plan:
What is it?
- A lesson plan is a teacher's detailed guide for running a lesson. A lesson plan with include a goal based on state standards and the steps used to assess and demonstrate learning of said goal (Top Hat, n.d.).
