Economic activity in Ecuador is divided into economic sectors. Their division is made according to the production processes they have,

Primary sector or agricultural

Tertiary sector or service.

Primary activities get resources from nature (e.g., fishing, farming). Secondary activities make products (processing, manufacturing). Tertiary activities provide services.
