We present the traditional songs learned during the project, with students' illustrations based on the song.

Lithuanian traditional children's song "Where are those old boots?"

In the past songs were used to teach children to understand the world around them. This song is one of those that has to be performed by 2 groups of singers in alternation. One group of children asking in song and the other answered when first group is silent. In this way, a dialogue takes place between the groups, creating a playful mood of communication.

C . Don antonino La mela - adrano

In Sicily there are a lot of folk songs, they speak about love but there are also songs telling about everyday life with its more or less happy events. "Ciuri, ciuri" is the best example.

The Story of a Little ShepherdChildren, I shall tell you the story of a little shepherdChildren, I shall tell you the story of a little shepherdLa la la, la la la, la la la la,Of a little shepherd, of a little shepherd. Every day he would go with his flock on the meadowAmong little sheep, little lambs, the nice little shepherdTra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,The nice little shepherd, the nice little shepherd. Happilly on the blooming field he played on his small fluteAnd from the hay field a cricket answered: chirp, chirpTra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,Chirp, chirp, a cricket, chirp, chirp, a cricket. Tweet, tweet, boy, listen to this:There’s a wolf hidden in the bush, guard your sheepTra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,Guard your sheep, guard your sheep! I’ll imediately go, I’ll fly thereTo call here to come with his gunTra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,The brave hunter, the brave hunter. And the skilled hunter came quicklyAnd he shot the wolf that was hidden in a bushTra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,He shot it at once, he shot it at once. I’ve told you now, children, the story of a little shepherdHe also sang but not like you, he played on his small flute.Tra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,He played on his small flute, he played on his small flute Tra la la, la la la, tra la la, la la la,He played on his small flute, he played on his small flutehttps://lyricstranslate.com

A traditional Austrian folk dance called "Der Strohschneider"

And here a traditional Austrian folk song called "Peters Brünnele"

Turkiye - Denizli PEV Schools

A traditional Turkish folk song called "Deniz Üstü Köpürür"

Turkiye - Denizli PEV Schools

There are a great number of legends on our lands and many Anonymous or nonanonymous songs in order to transfer them from generations to generations. The song tells longing for the homeland as most of our traditional songs do. We always sing these songs with our children to remind them our heroes and cultural figures.

DENİZ ÜSTÜ KÖPÜRÜR Surface of the sea foams, Hey my darling, Rinna nay rinna rinna nayIf I got on a rowboat She would carry me away Hey my darling hey My coming on the world Hey my darling Rinna nay rinna rinna nay Because of a beauty Hey my darling hey The sea surface is full of sail Hey my darling hey Rinna nay rinna rinna nay Death came soon Hey my darling hey In the middle of the sea Hey my darling hey Rinna nay rinna rinna nay

A candle burn on her table Hey my darling hey My leaving from this world Hey darling hey Rinna nay rinna rinna nay Because of the love of the country Hey my darling hey My leaving from this world Hey darling hey Rinna nay rinna rinna nay Because of the love of the country Because of the love of the country Hey darling hey Hey hey
