history of kickball
- Nicholas C. Seuss invented kickball in 1917 in United States (Cincinatti, Ohio) and was played in the parks all over the city. He invented the game in order to help children better understand the rules of baseball and softball.
- When it was originally invented, it was known as “kick baseball”.
- A few years later, kickball was adopted by physical education teachers nationwide, as an introduction to baseball.
- Soldiers adopted it to keep them busy and energized during World War II
- In the 1990s adults became reinterested in the game and created many adult leagues.
- Is one of the most popular games among children and adults at the parks today.

- Although Kickball comes from United States, there are other countries that have developed interest for this game. They mantain many rules from the original game, but they have changed the name.

- Kickball is a simple game consisting of two teams, bases, and a big red ball. Played like baseball, the goal is to score more runs than the opposing team.
- One team score when the runner steps on each base and ends back in homebase.
- Players: two teams with 8 to 10 players
- Bases: three fiel bases and homebase.
- The player who kicks the ball runs through the bases trying not to be tagged by the ball o trying to get to the next base before the opposing team blocks the base the runner is going to.

- STRIKE:
- A pitch that is not kicked
- An attempted kick missed by the kicker inside or outside of the strike zone
- The kicked ball doesn't go out of the kicking box
- OUT:
- A count of three (3) strikes or three (3) fouls
- A kicked ball caught on the fly by the catching team
- A runner hit with the ball on the body below the shoulder
- A ball caught by a catcher on the base the runner is going to
- FOUL:
- A ball landed in Foul zone
