A bamboo clapper is an indispensable instrument in drum circles. It's a bamboo instrument that can be played like a clapper while being held in both hands. It is made by splitting bamboo. However, in the era of Tharay-Khit-taya, two wooden boards attached with a string were used to play with. This is called the lakhkyap (လက်ချပ်)။ The bamboo clapper has been around since prehistoric times.

The flute served as the foundation for the creation of the oboe. Mon and Myanmar oboes were utilized to play with throughout the Ava period. Supposedly, it was also played throughout the Bagan era. The Karen traditional oboe is one of the oboe varieties that is not played as easily as you might believe; it is significantly more challenging. Only a few people have the necessary skill set to play it. A plant called Chinnaphon (ကျင်းနားဖွန်း) is used to make the oboe. A buffalo horn is fastened to the top to amp up the volume, and it is roughly 1.5 feet long.

A vessel is carved from soft and supple type of wood, similar to a lebbeck (လက်ပံ့) plant. Its length is approximately four feet and four and a half feet. The barrel has a width of nearly a foot. Goat skin is used to seal it. They wrap the drum paper around the vessel's mouth. People use it for every event and have it in every village. The drum is the closest instrument to the people. The instrument used by the workers and farmers. The art of playing the drum was followed by the development of vessel songs and dances.

Xylophone / ပတ္တလား

Xylophone is made of Dendrocalamus giganteus ( Giant Bamboo ) and there are apprecimately 24 keys of bamboo. The Xylophone's sound is most likely to be similar with the Harp sound and furthermore a bamboo xylophone is the most common one. In the Myanmar orchestra, bronze, metal, and wooden are used mostly. Although, the bamboo xylophone is considered having the most pleasant sound among them. There's a saying that if that is the really good xylophone, its sound must be heard vivdly even a mile away.

The harp is a stringed musical instrument from Myanmar that dates back thousands of years. Two varieties of the Myanmar harp exist. In comparison to the one played by women, the one played by men is substantially larger. The gumkino flower's essence is typically used to make the harp pot. Once the harp cup has been carved, deer skin is used to cover the top of the harp pot. Senegalia catechu is used to create the harp's curved arms.

Bronze drum is a Kayin traditional Heritage. To get the pleasant sound, it must be made of gold, sliver, ruby, zinc and lead. Bronze drum has started to be used since the stone age. It is in the flag of national Kayin respectfully. They also play in big events and ceremonies. The creators are Shans. And you must use two hands to play it.

Cymbal is mostly found in the Bagan era orchestra. Long time ago, cymbal is also called as KwatKwin( ခွက်ခွင်း). Cymbal is made of bronze in bronze, rope, leather, air and clap which are known as the five instruments. Cymbal is one of the Kachin traditional instruments and playable one. As you play the bigger one and smaller one, you'll get to listen to the most pleasant sound. SInce Cymbal is not an individual instrument, it is played along with drums as the beat goes.

Myanmar Guitar

Mi gyaung is one of the six Theatrical instruments. It is produced as like the crocodile. It was found in the early 8012. And in those eras, the crocodile-like instrument's apperance is "Length 4 feet, Width 7 inches or over 1 foot. The Padauk body of that instrument has a hollow and there are holes at the back of it. In the era of Thayaykhittaya, Mi Gyaung instrument was with 18 strings. Nowadays, as people play guitars, you can play it on the lap or on the ground. You can also play it with songs.
