Plato
GOOD, TRUE, AND BEAUTIFUL
start
Plato, an early philosopher, made important contributions to humanity. His intellectual influence may still be felt in the way we approach the arts, politics, morality, and the natural and social sciences today. He also gave a great contribution to the world of business and marketing. Plato suggested three transcendental principles that humans should observe in order to contribute meaningfully. The same principles may be seen from the viewpoint of how a company might intentionally represent the brand in order to succeed.
who is Plato?
Plato, (born 428/427 BCE, Athens, Greece—died 348/347, Athens), ancient Greek philosopher, student of Socrates (c. 470–399 BCE), teacher of Aristotle (384–322 BCE), and founder of the Academy, best known as the author of philosophical works of unparalleled influence.
The good
The truth
According to Plato, the force of The Good manifests itself when individuals show love, compassion, and empathy for others. When seen from the perspective of branding and business, The Good is all about making people's lives better. The brand's goal of making people's lives better through its goods and services is an enduring concept. By helping individuals have better nights of sleep, the Sleep Number brand also leverages the power of The Good.
A noble way to life is to pursue knowledge relentlessly and to strive for justice and the truth. It's also an honorable goal for a brand to pursue in order to achieve sustainable success. Brands that are committed to The Truth concentrate their efforts on redressing unfair business practices. Southwest Airlines was established with the goal of redressing the wrongs associated with air travel, including lowering the cost of flying, improving the in-flight experience, and getting rid of add-on charges.
the beautiful
When people strive for greatness in order to improve the world, their lives are enriched. Such an endeavor produces beauty as a byproduct.Brands that choose The Beauty strategy route set out on an endless quest for perfection through continual development. Taking something that people already think is excellent and improving it is a straightforward strategy a firm may use to pursue this path. Apple succeeds by improving upon what is already excellent. Its Macintosh (Mac) product platform improved the PC computer. With its range of iPods, it created the MP3 player. Tablets already existed, but the iPad significantly enhanced them.
