What is Erasmus + ?
Erasmus+ is a European Union (EU) program that supports education, training, youth, and sport activities. It provides funding for individuals and organizations to participate in exchanges, study abroad programs, and other activities that foster personal and professional development. Erasmus+ was launched in 2014, replacing several previous EU programs in the fields of education, training, and youth Erasmus+ provides funding for a wide range of activities, including study abroad programs, traineeships, internships, language courses, and voluntary service projects. It also supports the development of educational institutions and the implementation of innovative practices in the fields of education, training, and youth.
What is Erasmus+ Youth Exchange ?
Erasmus+ Youth Exchange is a type of program funded by the European Union (EU) through the Erasmus+ program. It allows young people aged 13 to 30 from different countries to come together to participate in a structured and interactive learning experience, with the aim of promoting personal and professional development, intercultural understanding, and social inclusion. Duration is 5 to 21 days and involve a diverse group of participants with different backgrounds and interests. Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges are organized by youth organizations, schools, or other non-profit institutions that have been awarded funding under the program. Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges are an opportunity for young people to develop new skills, acquire knowledge, and make new friends.
What is the Youthpass ?
Youthpass is a certificate that is issued to young people who participate in certain European Union (EU) funded programs, such as Erasmus+ or the European Solidarity Corps. It is designed to recognize and validate the non-formal and informal learning that takes place through these programs, and to provide evidence of the skills and competencies that young people have acquired. Youthpass is issued by the national agencies responsible for the implementation of the EU programs, and it is valid for the duration of the program in which the young person participates. It also includes a section for the young person to reflect on their learning and to describe how they plan to use their new skills and knowledge in the future. Youthpass is an important tool for young people to demonstrate their personal and professional development, and to show the value of the learning that has taken place through their participation in EU programs. It can be used in various ways, such as to support job applications, to enter higher education, or to apply for further funding or training opportunities.
