we only get one verse to learn of his accomplishments:
“After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who struck down six hundred Philistines with an oxgoad. He too saved Israel.” —Judges 3:31
- The Israelites eventually defeated King Jabin, and there was another 40 yrs. of peace. - After the victory, Deborah wrote a song “The Song of Deborah,”

- Jephthah led Israel for 6 yrs, and when he died, he was buried in Gilead
- He did something terrible: He sacrificed his own daughter because of his vow
If you give the Ammonites into my hands, whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.” —Judges 11:30–31
