The Nile flowed to smaller gardens where farmers grew vegetables such as onions, beans, and cucumbers. Date, fig, and pomegrante trees were also tended along the river.

Document B

the nile river flood cycle

This document showed a chart that represent Nile river's flood cycle adapted from Katherine Hines in 2007. In the Chart: Akhet is the flood season, the Nile would flood and the fields would be covered in water and fertilized by new fresh silt. Famers will work off their public-labor tax. Peret is the planting & growing season, farmers would go planting and work on agriculture. Shemu is the harvest season, crops are sended to the marcket. The nile shaped Ancient Egyptian farmers year schedule, during the Nile's flood cycle, the farmers would do different things at different times depending on the Nile. When Ancient Egyptians figured out the NILE'S FLOODING SCHEDULE, they would do things such as planting crops DEPEND on THE NILE'S SCHEDULE, that‘s how the Ancient Egyptian farmers have their schedule.

Document d

the egypt tomb painting

This document showed a tomb that represent most of the Ancient Egyptian culture. In the tomb: Top part showed the sun god, Ra traveling on a boat. Bottom panels showed date palms and ornamental plants. Border and channels showed the Nile river and irrigation canels. Middle panels showed the farmers are harvesting flax and emmer wheat. Almost 75% percent of the tomb are showing what the Nile has provided to Ancient Egypt (showing in italic), the Nile provided lots of things for Ancient Egypt.

Document e

"hynm to the nile"

This document showed a hynm that the Ancient Egyptians has made to worship the Nile. The Nile keeps the land alive by flooding the fields and providing rich silt, so the farmers could grow barley and wheat. If the Nile don't provide enough silt/flood, there won't be enough silt to grow enough food, so there would be a famine, and everyone would be sad. If the Nile provides enough flood, the land is filled with rich silot, so there would be enouygh food for everyone and evryone would be happy. The Ancient Egyptians' happieness depends on the Nile's flood rage. This document can show how significant is the Nile to the Ancient Egyptians.

"A hymn is a song that made to worship a god) The Nile is as important as a god to the Ancient Egyptians

Ancient Egypt is a large civilazation, they last for almost 3000 years, they have their way to live. When they first decide to move, they chose the Nile river, the Nile river provided lots of sources fot the Ancient Egyptians, withput the Nile, there won't be Ancient Egypt.

Document c

a good traveling way

The Ancient Egyptians use boats to travel on the Nile, they transfer stuff so they can trade with other civilization. The Nile current was about four mph during flooding season. It slowed to 1 mph for the rest of the year.

"The Nile is a very important source to the ancient egyptians, it is 75% of the Ancient Egypt:food, water, and a river that could be used as a traveling source. Without the Nile, there won't be Ancient Egypt.
