100g salted butter
3 tbsp golden syrup
100g sugar
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tbsp groun ginger
1 tbsp ground cinemoun
225g plain flour
50g icing sugar

INSTRUCTIONSStep 1
Head and mix the butter, syrup and sugar together in a small pan until melted, stirrings occasionally.
INSTRUCTIONSStep 2
Mix together the bicarb, girger, cinnamon and flur in a large bowl. Pour in the buttery syrup mixture and stir to combine, then use you hans to bring together to from a dough. App up to one tbsp of milk to combine and put in the fridge.
INSTRUCTIONSStep 3
Pat the doght on a sheet of baking parhtment, shape in to a rectangle, and lay another sheet of parhtment on top of it. Roll the doght out to a thikness of 1/2cm.
INSTRUCTIONSStep 4
Heat rhe oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5 and line a large baking sheet with more baking partchent remove the dough from the fridge and cut out shapes using a coockie cutter. We use 9cm stars, but you can choose any shape.
INSTRUCTIONSStep 5
Place the shapes, spreade apart, on the lined baking sheet, and bak for 10-12 mins. Leave to cool completey on the baking sheet.
INSTRUCTIONSStep 6
Mean whear, mix the icing sugar with one 1-2 tbsp water-you want to create a consistency that's and pipeable, and not toothin oritmillrun, decorate the cooled biscuits with the icing using apping with a thin nozzle. Find don't how to make girgerbread.
