OBJECTIVE: STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO EXPRESS THE REASON WHY THEY DO SOMETHING.

Infinitives of Purpose We can use to + infinitive to say why we do something. It tells the other person the purpose or reason. We need to have a normal verb as well.

HOW TO USE IT

Examples: I went to the park to relax.

(this is what I did) = (this is why I did it).

We are saving up money to buy a new houseWe are saving up money because we want to buy a new house

Try to match the things he does and the reason he does them, then watch and check.
