Canvas Integrations (LTIs)

LTI stands for Learning Tools Interoperability and is an integration standard for third party tools. Canvas supports LTIs which allows third party tools to be easily integrated and used within Canvas. An LTI provides a framework through which an LMS (Canvas) can send some verifiable information about a user to a third party.

Canvas - Google LTI

Google Drive LTI and Google Assignment LTI allow educators to access their Google Workspace for Education files within Canvas, and add those files to modules, assignments, discussions, or quizzes. Students can also work on Google assignments, submit files directly from their Google Drive, and collaborate using Google Drive files within Canvas.

Canvas - Microsoft LTI

Microsoft OneDrive LTI allows educators to access their OneDrive files within Canvas, add Office 365 files to modules, assignments, discussions, and quizzes, and grade Office 365 files in the Canvas Speedgrader. Students can also work on Office 365 assignments, submit files directly from OneDrive, and collaborate using Office 365 files within Canvas.
