Being continually linked to and being barraged by digital platforms and notifications can cause a feeling of digital overload. People are now more connected online than ever before thanks to the pandemic and virtual work. This digital overload is something that teachers must deal with. It has become challenging and time-consuming for many teachers to work online with students, master new platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meets, and make their teachings digital for students.

Cognitive capabilities are defined as “the total amount of information the brain is capable of retaining at any particular moment.” So, when an employee is overloaded with more information than the capacity to remember that leads to distraction, attention span, loss of focus, and multitasking.
