Born and raised in suburban Chicago, Higgins began his rapping career way back in highschool, participating in freestyle rap-offs in the corridors of his school.

Growing up as a child of divorce, Higgins and his older brother were raised by his single mother. Owing to her deeply conservative roots, she never allowed him to listen to hip hop or rap music, limiting his music only to rock or pop.

Higgins was always musically gifted. He picked up the piano at four and learnt the guitar, drums and the trumpet for band practice soon after.

However, Higgins turned into a heavy drug user at a very young age. He began drinking lean (an intoxicant made from codeine or promethazine) in sixth grade and using Percocet and Xanax in 2013.
