Africa is the third largest continent after Asia and the Americas. It lies between the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east.

AFRICA:

MIGRATION

VOLUNTEERING

MIGRATION

IN AFRICA

WHY DO PEOPLE WANT TO LEAVE?

"Looking for work" and "escaping poverty and economic hardship" were the biggest factors for wanting to emigrate in almost all of the 34 countries surveyed, accounting for 44% and 29% respectively. Having family and loved ones abroad could influence that decision too.

VOLUNTEERING

IN AFRICA

WHAT IS VOLUNTEERING IN AFRICA?

Africa is one of the most popular destinations for volunteers abroad, and for good reason. In the countries we work in, local communities face numerous challenges and need extra support. As a volunteer, you’ll provide extra resources, offer your skills, and work directly with local people to help achieve long-term goals.

North America or North America is a subcontinent in the Americas and considered by many, because of the cultural difference, a continent of the supercontinent of America.

TECHNOLOGY:

IN NORTH AMERICA

HOW IS TECHNOLOGY IN NORTH AMERICA?

For the past 80 years, the United States has been integral in fundamental advances in telecommunications and technology. For example, AT&T's Bell Laboratories spearheaded the American technological revolution with a series of inventions including the first practical light emitted diode (LED), the transistor, the C programming language, and the Unix computer operating system

SCIENCE:

IN NORTH AMERCIA

Science in the United States has a long history, producing many important figures and developments in the field. The United States of America came into being around the Age of Enlightenment (1685 to 1815), an era in Western philosophy in which writers and thinkers, rejecting the perceived superstitions of the past, instead chose to emphasize the intellectual, scientific and cultural life, centered upon the 18th century, in which reason was advocated as the primary source for legitimacy and authority. Enlightenment philosophers envisioned a "republic of science," where ideas would be exchanged freely and useful knowledge would improve the lot of all citizens.

south america

South America is a continent entirely in the Western Hemisphere and mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere at the northern tip of the continent. It can also be described as the southern subregion of a single continent called America.

Asia

Asia is a continent which is part of Eurasia. It is the largest continent in the world by both land area and population and shares the landmass of Afro-Eurasia with Europe and Africa. Asia covers an area of 44,579,000 square kilometres, about 30% of Earth's total land area and 8.7% of Earth's total surface area.

ASIA:

ART:

IN ASIA

HOW IS ART IN ASIA?

In many ways, the history of art in Asia parallels the development of Western art. The art histories of Asia and Europe are greatly intertwined, with Asian art greatly influencing European art, and vice versa; the cultures mixed through methods such as the Silk Road transmission of art, the cultural exchange of the Age of Discovery and colonization, and through the internet and modern globalization.

LEASURE:

IN ASIA

HOW IS ART IN ASIA?

En Asia conviven templos tallados a mano y modernos rascacielos. Por cada calle frenética y de alta velocidad, hay un callejón estrecho y escondido. Desde la cultura a la gastronomía, hay mucho que descubrir en los centros urbanos de Asia.

Europe

Europe is a continent that is part of Eurasia and is located entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in the Eastern Hemisphere. Comprising the westernmost peninsulas of Eurasia, it shares the continental landmass of Afro-Eurasia with both Africa and Asia.

EUROPE:

HEALTH

HEALTH:

IN EUROPE

HOW IS ART IN ASIA?

The World Health Organization has listed 53 countries as comprising the European region. Health outcomes vary greatly by country. Countries in western Europe have had a significant increase in life expectancy since World War II, while most of eastern Europe and the former Soviet countries have experienced a decrease in life expectancy.

MEDIA:

IN EUROPE

MOST USED MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN EUROPE:

The Internet seems to have changed the rules of the game in the media industry. Especially when it comes to reaching younger audiences. The vast majority of the world's population between 18 and 24 years of age consider online media as their main source of information. This is not surprising when you consider that in the European Union alone, around 80% of students used social media in 2022. The use of digital media, however, is not limited to one age group. In 2021, between 70% and 95% of the majority of European citizens read digital news portals, newspapers and magazines. This undoubtedly contributes to the drop in daily consumption that print versions of both newspapers and magazines have been experiencing in Europe for some years now.

TYPE OF EDUCATION IN PACIFIC ISLANDS

While enrolment in basic education is relatively high in the Pacific, and most countries are on track to achieve universal primary education, significant challenges remain. Performance on basic literacy and numeracy in Grades 4 and 6 points to considerable barriers to learning for children in the Pacific.

HUMAN RIGHTS:

IN PACIFIC ISLANDS

HOW ARE HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE PACIFIC LIKE?

There have been notable human rights developments in the Pacific during the past four years since the joint United Nations Human Rights-Pacific Community report on the human rights situation in the region was last published. Achievements have included increased protection of human rights through changes in domestic law such as family protection legislation and new human rights initiatives such as social citizenship education. Countries in the Pacific have also committed themselves to guaranteeing the rights of all individuals by ratifying international human rights treaties and ensuring their implementation at the national level.

Antartica

The continent of Antarctica makes up most of the Antarctic region. The Antarctic is a cold, remote area in the Southern Hemisphere encompassed by the Antarctic Convergence. The Antarctic Convergence is an uneven line of latitude where cold, northward-flowing Antarctic waters meet the warmer waters of the world’s oceans. The Antarctic covers approximately 20 percent of the Southern Hemisphere.

ANTARTICA:

PROTECTING THE PLANET

PROTECTING THE PLANET:

IN ANTARCTICA

WE NEED TO TAKE CARE OF ANTARCTICA

It is said that human nature will destroy nature and humans. Today, the presence of what some call "the Earth’s greatest enemy" can be seen almost everywhere. But Antarctica is a natural treasure that can still be saved. This white continent is a paradise for scientists and wildlife, but its harsh conditions make it uninhabitable for humans. However, not even the most remote place on earth has been spared from man-made damage. Climate change stares you in the face in Antarctica. Understanding what this amazing continent means for the Earth - and for us - is the key to learning how to take better care of it. So here's what Antarctica does for us every day and why it's so important to protect it.
