Past simple
Utilizamos el pasado simple para referirnos a acciones terminadas que tuvieronlugar en un momento determinado del pasado. Para oraciones afirmativas se construyen con dos tipo de verbos en inglés: 1. VERBOS IRREGULARES: son aquellos que cambian de forma para el pasado y el participio pasado. e.g. INFINITIVO PASADO PASADO PARTICIPIO be was / were been VERBO TO BE * El verbo to be es un verbo irregular que se pueden traducir por: yo fui / estuve / era / estaba, tú fuiste / estuviste / eras / estabas, etc. * Este verbo habla de un estado o una situación (por ejemplo, cómo te sientes), y puede servir para describir las cosas. e.g. - The party was amazing! (¡La fiesta fue increíble!) - We were really happy! (¡Todos estábamos súper contentos!).

Reglas de ortografía para verbos irregulares
* Los verbos acabados en ‘-e’ pierden ésta vocal para añadir únicamente ‘ed’: e.g. live - lived / like - liked * Los verbos de una sílaba terminados en consonante, vocal, consonante, duplican la última consonante al añadir ‘-ed’. e.g. stop - stopped / rob - robbed / plan - planned * Los verbos acabados en consonante + -y, cambian la’y’ por ‘i’. e.g. cry - cried / study - studied
