george stephenson.
George Stephenson was born in 1781, in Northumberland in county of England, he married in 1802, could not learn to read until 18 years old.

Stephenson's inspiration is sad, because he entered the mine for the untimely death of his wife, in the mine was inspired to create the rocket.

Rocket was built to run on the Liverpool and Munchester Railway, the world's first inter-city passenger railway line. In 1829. Rocket won the Rainhill Trials, which was a competition to decide on the best mode of transport for the railway.
