It is a civil type of artwork that represent recreational and commemorative.Recreational because is representing a blue sky whit a lot of stars and conmemorative because the painting is for his brother. In the aftermath of the 23 december 1888 breakdown that resulted in the self-multation of his left ear.Van Gogh volunarly admitted himself to the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole-lunatic asylum on 8 of may 1889.Housed ina farmer monastery.

Vicent Van Gogh

Vicent Van Gogh(March 30 1853-July 29 1890) He painted some 800 paintings(among them 43 self-portraits and 148 watercolours) and made more than 1600 drawins. A central figure in his life was his younger brother De El Theo,and art dealer in Paris.He died at the age of 37 from a gunshot wound; It is not yet known for sure if ti was as suicide or an unvoluntary manslaughter.

Van Gogh used impressionism to bring life in to his work.He would usually start with a bright and transparent background. He used a wet- on-wet technique where he first would paint with a very bright and wet brush.Van Gogh wouls apply thin black paint with a flat brush and then paint with more damp paint.
