Auto Liability Claim Must-Know !
Immediately report all claims
Do not discuss the accident with the other party. Advise anyone involved that you will report the accident to your insurance carrier
Remember that adjusters require an opportunity to examine the damaged vehicle. Do not authorize repairs yourself without first contacting the adjuster handling your claim
If an employee is injured in the Auto accident, and there is a subsequent Workers Compensation claim, be sure to report the claim to both carriers if coverage and claims are handled by a different carrier.

General Liability Claim Must-Know !
You must report bodily injury or damage to property of others immediately.
Prompt reporting gives the adjuster the time they need to investigate and protect your interests in a loss.
Do NOT:
- Make any promises to an injured party
- Discuss the claim with any other insurance carrier
- Assume responsibility

Workers Comp Claim Must-Know !
All workers Compensation losses should be reported immediately
Subsequent medical bills and medical reports should be mailed directly to your Workers Compensation adjuster. Indicate claim number, the employee’s Social Security Number and the adjuster’s name when available.
As in all other claims, prompt reporting is essential. Workers Compensation is guided by Workers Compensation statutes and these statutes must be adhered to.
Should you have a problem with any claim, unpaid bill or delay in disability payments, call the adjuster.
If an employee is injured and there is a subsequent Auto Liability claim, be sure to report the claim to the other carrier if coverage and claims are handled by a different carrier.

Two Relevant Coverages
Student Accident
General Liability
A Liability matter unlike Student Accident requires a degree of negligence on the district’s end for the student’s family to be compensated. If a student injury occurs where your district feels there was potential fault, or a claimant representation letter is received from a legal firm representing the family, it is important you notify Gallagher Bassett (GB) immediately
The Student Accident coverage is the first place to look in the case of a student injury requiring outside medical treatment. This coverage is what we call a “No Fault” coverage and just requires meeting a set of circumstances which entail the injury occurring during the school day or during a district sponsored/supervised activity.
