THE PREHISTORY
It is the stage that begins with the origin of humanity until writing arose with the first civilizations, that is, approximately 4.000 years before Christ. During this period the first hominids appeared, which envolved until Homosapiens appeared. Our ancestors began to build the first tools and to live in groups. In prehistory, in turn, several substages can be distinguished, such as the following:
- Stone Age (Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic).
- Metal Age (Copper Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age).
THE ANCIENT AGE
It begins when writing appears, which is a great event in history, and ends when the Roman Empire fell, that is, in the fifth century after Christ. In this period the first civilizations developed in Mesopotamia and Egypt. The writing methods used by these civilizations were hieroglyphics
THE MIDDLE AGES
iIts extends from the fifth century after Christ until the year 1492, when it arrived in America. At this time, the slave-owning social system that had existed until now was replaced by a model based on feudalism. Christianity and Islam began to spread. The bourgeoisie appeared and the foundations of capitalist system that has survived to this day were laid
THE MODERN AGE
It runs from the fifteenth century until the beginning of the French Revolution in 1789. One of the most important cultural events in history took place. which was the Reinaissance: the cities grew and the feudal system was replaced by the capitalist sytem. The currents of though that prevail at this time are humanism and rationalism. Another essential event of this time is the Industrial Revolution which involves the creation of machines to meet the market demand at that time.
THE CONTEMPORARY AGE
It begins in the 19th century and continues to the present day. It is one of the most important historical stages, and essential events have occurred in it, among them the birth of new government systems such as the republican system, the consolidation of the capitalist system, the decline in the power of the Catholic Church, the increase in the world population, the appearance of great inventions such as light bulbs, airplanes or the internet, and finally the globalization.
