The flag of Serbia (Serbian: Застава Србије, romanized: Zastava Srbije), also known as the tricolor (Serbian: тробојка, romanized: trobojka), is a tricolor flag consisting of three equal horizontal bands, red at the top and blue in the middle . , and white at the bottom. The same tricolor, in altered variants, has been used since the 19th century as the flag of the state of Serbia and of the Serbian nation.. The current form of the flag was adopted in 2004 and slightly redesigned in 2010. The entire design, symbols and lettering are taken from the Byzantine flag (Greek-speaking last Roman dynasty)State Flag Construction Sheet The state flag bears the lesser coat of arms, centered vertically and offset to the hoist side by one seventh the length of the flag. [2] The ratio of the flag is 2 to 3 (height/width), with three equal horizontal stripes of red, blue and white, each occupying one third of the height. Recommended colors (black and white are not Pantone documented)

Geographical location Serbia is a landlocked country located in Southeastern Europe, in the center of the Balkan Peninsula, between 41° 53' and 46° 11' North latitude and 18° 49' and 23° 00' East longitude. Because Serbia envelops part of the Pannonian Plain in the north, the country also belongs to the center of Europe, while due to its southern region, in terms of geography and climate, Serbia is also considered a Mediterranean country. Serbia lies at the crossroads of Eastern and Western Europe, the main routes through the Morava and Vardar and the Nišava-Marica valleys to the Aegean coast, to Asia Minor and the Middle East. The European Transport Corridors VII (the Danube) and X (road and rail) pass through Serbia and join in Belgrade. Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, is located on the banks of the Danube, a waterway that connects the countries of Western and Central Europe with the countries of Southeast and Eastern Europe. Its port is visited by ships from the Black Sea, and with the opening of the Rhine-Main-Danube canal, it became a central point of the waterway, the most important in Europe that stretches from the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean until reaching the Black Sea. The Belgrade-Bar railway line connects the city with the Adriatic Sea and with the Belgrade “Nikola Tesla” Airport, which is a key point for European air routes.

The Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is one of the few remaining buildings from the early Middle Ages and is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Prohor Pčinjski Monastery was founded between 1067 and 1071 by the Byzantine Emperor Roman IV in honor of Saint Prohor of Pčinja.1 The architecture of the church developed mainly under the patronage of the Serbian state. The most distinctive piece of medieval Serbian architecture was the Studenica Monastery founded by Stephen Nemanja, the founder of medieval Serbia in c. 1190.
