O caso possessivo é usado para indicar posse (Mary's house - the house of Mary) ou uma relação próxima entre duas pessoas (Mary's parents - the parents of Mary). É usado para pessoas e animais. Exemplos: - The family's name is Denver. (=the name of the family) - Their cat's whiskers are very long.(=the whiskers of the cat)

Singular nouns: 'S

rEGULAR PLURAL: '

Mary's house is very big. (=the house of Mary...)

The kids' mum is called Mary. (=the mum of the kids...)

Proper names ending in s: 'S

IRREGULAR PLURAL: 'S

The children's names are all special. (=the names of the children...)
