EDITing premade marketplace resources

find a resource in the market place...

Then you can tweak it to make it your own!

  • When you open a marketplace item, you will see two options:
  • Choose "Add to My Resources" to make a copy of the item in your account.
  • Go to the "Resources" tab and find the "Marketplace" folder in your resources to locate the item.
  • Make sure the item is not "protected"

Editing marketplace items

Find the item and locate the "Edit" button. It will be slightly different depending on the type of item. If there is no edit button, then it is likely protected.

Based on cards...

The Classflow lessons are based on "cards" (which are similar to slides in a presentation). You can add teacher cards that appear on the main screen and coordinating student cards that appear on the students' devices. Or, you can simply run everything as student cards (if students will be going through it independently) or teacher cards (if everything will show on the main screen.

Creating Lessons

classflow lessons

slides presentations

  • Allows for whole group or individual two-way display so students can be engaged and assessed
  • Bank of Marketplace Resources to pull from
  • Embed activities and polling into the lesson
  • More difficult to poll students (need another app or device)
  • Offers more flexibility in design
  • Student interaction is more limited
  • Hard for teachers to control pace/focus

Creating is similar to editing...

Hover over the slide to bring up the settings cog
Click to add cards to the lesson (similar to adding slides)
Sections are simply empty slides that guide your teaching. They cannot be edited except to title them and change the background.
Click to add or view student cards
Imports questions or cards from other Classflow materials and activities
Preview the lesson and/or deliver the lesson straight to your students' devices

Creating is similar to editing...

From this tool, you can insert resources from your Classflow Resources storage. You can also click the "Upload New Resource" button to upload a file from your computer. If you have Google Drive for Desktop installed on your computer, you can insert from Google Drive through your computer as well.

WIdget Examples

SPINNER Examples...

using actions to increase engagement

Actions allow objects to interact with the viewer. There are several action options that can be accessed by clicking the cog next to any object (text, image, shape, etc) on the card.

Reveal or hide objects when someone clicks on them

Stack items on top of each other and move up when clicked

Great for sorting activities!!

Creates a copy of the original when dragged to a new spot

Clicking an object takes you to another card

Container Example...

Drag each animal to the correct container based on whether it lives in a forest ecosystem.

Clone on drag example...

Pull the objects and the program creates an exact copy to replace it. Important to know...you will have to delete whatever you've dragged to the bottom to keep the template.

Show & Hide Example...

Use it to take attendance each day...

assigning lessons to students

Go to the "Resources" tab and click "New."

Give the assignment a Name and select the type of assignment it is (the rest is optional). Click "Save" to save the assignment so you can assign it later. You can include instructions and add whatever resources you have in your resource bank. You can even attach a rubric. if needed. When finished, click "Assign" and pick a class.

If everything looks correct, click "Deliver."

It will look like this on your students' classflow screens...

Try to be very clear in your instructions. They will display before students click "Go to Assignment" and will be found by clicking "Instructions" on the Assignment screen.

The best way to have students do an independent lesson in Classflow is to break apart the lesson into "Information" on a "Lesson" resource and interactive assessments or activities on separate resources. Lesson resources will not show student cards and should be viewed by students in "Preview" mode. When they have completed the assignment, they can click the "Submit" button in the top right corner.

See which students have submitted and click on the student's name to see their response. Give Feedback (and a score if you chose that on the assignment creator) and hit "Redeliver" to return it to the student and make changes. Click Save to simply save your feedback for the student to view.

INSERT YOUR VIDEO HERE

Once submitted...

Under the "Classes" tab, select the correct class and find the assignment on your feed.
