Melody: Melody is the line in which a musical piece is defined by. A melody is the central theme that is played in a piece of music and that is repeated throughout the song. Harmony: Harmony provides music as a secondary line of music that compliments the melody. It is what provides the song with: color or enhancement. Rhythm: Rhythm is the driving beat or pulse of a song that defines the movement of the piece of music.

There are signs that music has been produced since pre-historic times, probably as an evolution of observation of the children of nature. It is from about the year 60,000 A.C. the remains of a bone flute and from 3000 A.C. the presence of lyres and harps in Mesopotamia.

How does music affect our lives? Music has the ability to profoundly affect our mental states and elevate our mood. When we need it, music gives us energy and motivation. When we are worried, it can calm us down; when we are tired, it can encourage us; and when we are feeling low it can inspire us again.
