Bacteria And Viruses
- It is essential to keep surfaces clean to stop the spread of bacteria
- Rinse cloths regularly to prevent spreading of bacteria.
- Store equipment clean and dry
- Store equipment seperatly to avoid cross contamination
Play
- Assemble the equipment & PPE required Put on the PPE.
- Ventilate areas to be cleaned.
- Display caution/warning sign. Close off area to be cleaned.
- Make up the disinfectant solution. Place the waste bag next to where you are going to work. If required sprinkle the spillage compound to soak up any liquid.
- Leave the powder at least 2 minutes to soak. Using the disposable scoop and scraper remove as much of the matter as possible and place straight into the waste bag.
- Spray the contaminated areas with the disinfection solution.
- Allow 2 minutes contact time.
- Using absorbent paper / disposable cloth wipe the area removing offensive matter.

Each time the toilet is then flushed an invisible cloud of dirty water and bacteria is projected out of the bowl spreading up to 8 feet away – the “sneeze effect”.
