Training more than 500 employees on short skills programs, 30 chef students, 15 generic management learners, 15 professional cookery learners and a host of satisfied clients.

Here are some highlights into 2022
As our second year students embark on their final exams. We are proud of all you have accomplished.Goodluck! Chef Gordon once quoted a famous chef, Jacques Pepin "I tell a student that the most important class you can take is technique. A great chef is first a great technician. 'If you are a jeweler, or a surgeon or a cook, you have to know the trade in your hand. You have to learn the process. You learn it through endless repetition until it belongs to you."

Name: Forest Crumbed Chicken Roulade with piped potato duchesses, a bed of pea pure'e, butternut dots and dressed with a balsamic reduction.
Name: Spherical Tiramisu in a sugar nest accompanied with rose water, half moon jellies. peanut butter crumble and a splash of berry coulie.
Generic management graduates 2022
After 12 Months on a Generic Managemment learnership, 13 learners graduated. From day one this group of individuals showed tremendous potential and 11 of these individuals have secured permenant employment @ various stakeholders.
Midlands Hospitality is proud to present our new group of first year chef students! We are so pleased to have them at MHA on their culinary journey.

A fantstic initative from Unilever, Knorr and the Department of Education. Training food handlers from schools across KZN.What a fantastic bunch of people, who have the drive and passion to feed 1000's of school children per day. They will thrive with the new skills they have gained!

Name: Khaya NeneEducation: Midlands Hospitality Academy
A Gentlemen of great stature and of few words, who can cook up a storm. Currently a permanent employee of Capitol Caterers select. Khaya has proven he has what it takes to be a Great Chef. Currently first in the class and role model to the 1st and 2nd year chefs!

Khaya had this to say " The opportunity capital has given to me is one in a million; I am truly blessed and grateful. MHA is a great school; it's like when you get a car license you learn to drive properly. I knew how to cook before, but now I have my license!"

Recently Summit, UIF, Capitol Caterers and MHA have combined to assist in a national project to upskill youth in the hospitality and culinary industry. With this collaberation, we are able to provide learners with relevant training, workplace experience and mentoring of the highest standard.
