- Canada has a high score of 68. Belgium has a score of 57 which is also high. In this dimension, having a high score means that their societies are considered being really indulgent. People in a country with a high score means that they have the will to realise their desires while enjoying life. They like having fun and they are positive in a majority of time while realising tasks. They also like having free time and spending money to treat themselves. For example, Canadians we love going shopping and buy clothes and stuff for themselves or doing activities after work.
- The Italian culture scores a 30 which classifies them as restraint. China also has a low score of 24. In the indulgence dimension, a society with a low score are more pessimist. Restraint societies don’t take a lot of free time to relax and they don’t prioritise spending money for there desires. They think that their actions are restricted by social norms and they don’t spoil themselves because they see it as wrong.
- France scores a 48, which is in the middle of being indulgent vs restraint. That’s means that French don’t enjoy life as much and as often as Canadians or Belgium and they are more stressed out. There index of happiness is also not that high.
