The On the Go project aims to empower anyone considering returning to adult education to brush up their literacy, language, numeracy or everyday digital skills to understand their needs and where to go locally to meet them
The On the Go app will enable users to access this information independently and get a taste of what the learning opportunities will be like. It will provide users with:
- Accessible information on what learning opportunities are available locally and a clear pathway setting out how to go about accessing them
- An opportunity to experience some learning activities
- A mechanism to self-identify their current level, areas for development and to instil personal confidence that they can achieve success.

Key Features
- User friendly - easily accessible format for users with unmet literacy or language needs or who are new to technology
- Uses plain language
- Information available in a range of languages
- Innovative, flexible learning – digital learning ‘on the go’ at a time and pace that suits the user
- App can be accessed via a QR code on a poster or leaflet or through links on websites or social media promotional posts
As part of the design and development phase, the On the Go app will be piloted and tested with local community partners and adjusted in line with feedback received as part of the evaluation process.
