The first sightings of human life in Japan, go all the way back to 30000 years ago, but it's possible that it was habited much time before. Until the last glaciation, about 15000 years ago, multiple "bridges" of earth connected Japan with the continent. (Siberia from the north, Korea west and maybe current Taiwan south), which is why the territory was accessible.

• Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombs
• Indic ocean great tsunami, 2004

Their culture was heavily influenced by China in its origns. It has 2677 years of antiquity and its characterized by a language, religion and tradition of their own but mixed in a complex process of sinecretism throught centuries.

In japan there were four predominant cultures, which were Jomon, Yayoi, Kofun, and the Heian culture. All these cultures stuck out because of their love for ceramic and arts in general.

Nowadays, their culture is bonded to the original Shintoism, Buddhism from the V century, Taoism and Confucianism.

Nowadays cosplays have vastly grown in Japan with the booming popularity of anime and manga.

People are willing to spend a significant amount of money on custom-made costumes and accessories to fit the character they want to become.

Entertainment in the fields of gaming and anime is the main driving force that pushes Japan's economy until today. Japan is revered across the world as the land of flying and spiky hair anime characters.

-Territory-

The Japanese territory is located in the region called Northeast Asia or East Asia, to the east of the Eurasian continent. It is surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan, and the East China Sea.

Japan has great diversity of plant and animal life. In addition, there remain a large number of valuable ecosystems throughout the country.

Countries with which it borders: Total, area: 377, 915 km2. Territorial limits: It is an archipelago formed by 6,852 islands. The main ones are: Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. No land borders with other countries, Japan is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan, east of China, Russia and the peninsula from Korea.

-Gastronomy-

Sushi placed Japan in the gastronomic map, just as Tempura, Ramen, Soba, Udon, Takoyaki, Onigiri, and Okonomiyaki. Japan's gastronomy has been developing throughout centuries because of politic, social, and resourceful changes, starting from the antique age in which most of the cousine was influenced by Chinese culture. Lastly, gastronomy changed with the arrival of middle age which marked the start of the end for etilism with the normative of shogunato. In the beginning of middle age, there were big changes that introduced Japan into occidental culture.

The Japanese eat so much rice because in the past it was what they food fed the most to get nutrients, since meat was forbidden and fish was something that not everyone could afford, this between the years 1603-1868

• Japanese trains are among the world’s most punctual: their average delay is just 18 seconds.

• Raised floors help indicate when to take off slippers or shoes.

• In Japan, adult adoption has been quite normal since the XIII century, and was considered a tool for social and economic mobility.

• In Japan there are more pets than children.
