In the Olympic games, athletes compete to see who is faster, stronger, better than the rest. Humans do this sport for sport. But in the natural world animals and insects do it to stay alive.

Usain Bolt once ran at 44.72 kph. But the ........... is faster than any human. A ............. can run at around 112 kph. In Africa, ...........s run fast to catch food. But they can only run at this speed for 250 metres.

Rhinoceros ..........s are much smaller and lighter than elephants. But, with their large horns, they can lift 850 times their own body weight. That makes them much more powerful than the elephant, which can only lift a quarter of its weight. These ..........s don’t use their horns to attack. They use them to make holes, to escape danger.

Beetle

Some ........s can dive 1,600 metres under water and stay there for two hours.

Whale
