Writing Process
how to use the
for spectacular results every time
Lots of peoplehave troublewith writing
Let's hear some of thecommon things people sayabout why they struggle
I don't like writing. I'm not good at it, so I avoid it. I wait till the last minute, then write as fast as I can to get it over with.
I'm a perfectionist. I can't start until I have the perfect idea. And I can't finish because everything has to be perfect.
I like to express myself, but I can only write when I feel inspired. I'm always waiting around for the inspiration to appear.

The Discouraged
- Writing has been difficult in the past
- You believe because it is difficult, this means you're not "a good writer"
- Writing has lots of negative associations
- You avoid writing as much as possible
- You rush to get through writing assignments and turn in whatever you write without caring much about editing it
Next
The Uninspired
- You enjoy being creative and writing comes naturally to you
- You often want to write but need to feel inspired first
- You think writing is a talent
- If you don't have an inspired idea, you don't write
- You may feel bad if you can't think of a creative idea
Next
The Perfectionist
- You are a good writer but get paralyzed by needing it to be perfect
- You spend a lot of time worrying about having the right idea, the right words, the right conclusion, and this keeps you from writing
- You edit and nitpick endlessly, it's difficult to complete an assignment because there's always something you can improve
- You're never satisfied with your writing
