WRITING
It is almost 5000 years old.
It is a symbolic representation of language.
Graphic signs are distinct from each other.
It has to be taught and learned.
PICTOGRAMS
They are a form of picture writing.
They are used to record events.
They convey meanings associated with the symbol.
They are conventional and language independent .
They reflect the physical form of objects.
IDEOGRAMS
It is a way of idea writing.
They represent concepts or ideas.
The graphic symbols are abstract.
They are different from the physical symbol they refer to.
LOGOGRAMS
It is known as cuneiform writing.
