Chapter 1

Doctor Henry Jekyll was already a very successful doctor by the age of thirty-one. He lived in a very nice house in the centre of London and he has a butler whose name was Poole. On Dr Jekyll´s birthday he celebrated with his friends. They talked about his new project, an hypothesis that the human’s mind is separated onto 2 parts, one evil and one good, Dr. Jekyll thought he could do that with medicine. His friends didn’t like his idea. That night Dr Jekyll decided to drink the medicine and his mind awoke Mr Hyde.

Chapter 2

Mr Hyde was walking on Soho street when he tripped over a little girl. She had bent to take a coin, Mr Hyde kicked the girl and stepped onto her hand. The little girl’s mom cried and the father and other people wanted to teach him a lesson. When Mr Hyde was cornered against a brick wall, he proposed a deal to the father,. He would pay 15 pounds in a cheque to the father if everyone let him leave. The father accepted , but the father saw that the cheque was signed with the name of Dr Jekyll.

Chapter 3

Mr.Utterson, one of London’s most famous lawyers at the time, was out walking one afternoon with his assistant, Richard Enfield. While he was walking Mr. Utterson saw a small, dark alley behind Jekyll's house. He saw a man leaving through a back door . Mr. Utterson rang the bell. Poole, the butler, told him that Dr.Jekyll was out for the evening. Utterson left, deep in thought, still shocked by the strange man he had seen at the alley.

Chapter 4

One night, Mr Utterson was at Dr Lanyon's House talking about Dr. Jekyll. They said he had a brilliant mind, but something was happening to him lately. When Mr. Utterson left Dr. Lanyon's house, he went to Dr. Jekyll's. He was reading in the library when Utterson arrived. Utterson was worried about Mr. Hyde, but Jekyll told him not to worry.

A MURDER

Chapter 5

It is night and Danvers Carew is looking for a carriage to go to his house. Suddenly a strange man comes to him and Carew asks him where he can find a cab. They have a conversation, then the strange man kills him with his walking stick. The next morning, Mr Utterson reads in the newspaper about the murder and goes to Jekyll’s house because Hyde's picture is in the newspaper. Jekyll says that Hyde is going to kill him and agrees to give him Hyde’s address in Soho. He goes, but there is nobody home, when he asks a woman. Mr Utterson gives his contact to her.

Chapter 6

It is night and Dr Jekyll is writing in his diary. He writes about the feelings of a person, the evil inside, that begins growing and growing. Mr Uttenson visits Dr. Jekyll, but he is thinking on other thing. Mr Utterson wants to change his will, but Dr Jekyll is afraid and he says he can’t (he changed his mind the week before)

A SURPRISE VISITOR

Chapter 7

Dr Jekyll visits Dr Lanyon because he needs his help. Dr Jekyll needs some medicine from his laboratory, he gives Dr Lanyon, his laboratory keys and he asks him to search that. Dr Lanyon hurries up and when he comes back Dr Jekyll isn't the one sitting in the chair, it is s Mr Hyde. Dr Lanyon is scared, and he asks Hyde where Dr jekyll is. Mr Hyde takes the small bottle from the bag and forces Dr Lanyon to sit in the chair. Mr Hyde shows him who he really is and Dr Lanyon has a hard attack and dies.

Chapter 8

Utterson and Enfield are working late at the office, going through Dr Lanyon's diary . They find that the last thing he wrote is that there was a knock on the door. They come to the conclusion that the one who was at the door was the last one to see him alive. Poole comes out saying that Dr. Jeckyl is locked up in his laboratory and he doesn't want to leave, so they call the police and go to Jeckyl's house

Chapter 9

They don't find him that night, so Mr. Utterson finds an envelope in Dr. Jekyll's laboratory, which has his name on it; He goes with it to his house and reads it. The letter inside explains what has happened to him. Then Utterson thinks of all the situation, he has just lived.

THE TRUTH

Chapter 10

Utterson, Enfield and Poole arrived at Jekyll's house with two policemen to arrest Mr Hyde because they thought that Jekyll was in danger. They knocked at the door, and someone else's voice who wasn't Jekyll's answered; Utterson knew it wasn't him. When the 2 policemen opened the door, They saw that it wasn't Jekyll, it was Hyde. When they opened the door they noticed that there was a secret door behind the bookcase, perhaps Jekyll had escaped, where had he gone?

Description

Doctor Jekyll was a very successful doctor by the age of 31. He was a tall, thin man, and he was well-dressed. He wore expensive gray suits and large bow-ties. He had short dark hair and a thin mustache which was curled a little at the ends.

Mr. Hyde

Description

Mr Hyde is a small, nasty looking man. He is evil, very cold and impulsive. He usually wears a black coat, a walking stick and a black hat. He has hairy body.

Poole, the butler

Description

Poole is a old tall, thin man with a typical butler outfit, a black suit. He's Dr Jekyll's butler He is good, brave, loyal, kind and a good servant.

Dr. Lanyon

Description

Dr. Lanyon was a highly respected doctor in London at the time. He was once Dr. Jekyll 's teacher. Dr.Lanyon was much older than Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Utterson.

Mr. Utterson

Description

Mr. Utterson was a rich and kind man. He was very tall, thin and had black and short hair. He always wore top hats, walking sticks and fashionable suits. He was from London. He was a famous lawyer. He had an assistant, and his name was Richard Enfield. They were in their early thirties.
