Risk management professionals are grappling with an unprecedented challenge: how to adapt their role to help their organisations be better positioned to thrive in these uncertain times. In response to this need, working with design thinking and futures experts, we have piloted a programme to delve deeper into this topic, and are now ready to offer it more widely. The Catalyst programme explores the role risk management has to play in regenerative business practices, which need to be commercially sound, as well as socially and environmentally aware. The programme puts business challenges in the macro context of our changing world, while pragmatically starting with small, everyday actions to implement change in the day job. Our methodology enables cohorts of practitioners to continuously understand, explore, apply and measure in the context of the Anthropocene.
