Types of shots

A shot is the basic unit of the audiovisual language, and it is configured by all the elements that are seen within it (in the frame). A shot of plans set up a sequence, and a set of sequences set up a video.

According to its color

Warm Lighting

When it is used, it takes on color tones of orange, yellow and red, this indicates the light has a low temperature of color. When a film has a warm lightning it transmits comforts, coziness, love, friendship… Because of that it is normally used in romantic, familiar, drama and generally on parts of films that represent good times.

Cold lighting

Is used, it takes on colour tones of blue, green or grey, so a high temperature of color is being used. Cold lightning expresses coldness, loneliness, depression... and for this reason it is used in genres such as science fiction, terror, war films among others
