20dB Hearing started in 2002 as Gnosis Professional Hearing Services with its first outlet located at Taman Maluri, Cheras. Until today, 20dB Hearing has become the leading hearing aid fitting centres with 27 outlets nationwide.

Our Policies and Culture
Employee Handbook
In order to make everything happens, we need to stick to some basic guiding principles. That's where our policies and procedures come in. It's important that you know what they are and follow them.
Dress Code & Public Image
- A clean and professional appearance in or outside the office
- Dress in appropriate office attire and to behave in a professional, businesslike manner
- Generally, clean and neat clothing is acceptable

- The normal working hours are according to each outlets.
- Be punctual for work
- Responsible to inform their own immediate superior when they are late for work with valid reason.

Staff under probation are still not able to apply for annual leave
Leave Cancellation
Please inform your Approving Superior to REJECT the Leave if he/she has yet to approve it. OR Please inform HR to cancel if your Approving Superior has approved the Leave initially.
4.1 Termination
In normal circumstances, notice of termination for the employment shall be given by company/employee according to the notice period written in the Handbook and Letter of Offer. Equivalent amount of salary in-lieu of notice would be payable by either party for a lesser period and is not applicable to DISMISSAL CASES. Employees can not use unpaid leave to offset their last working day.
Missing in action?
Any employee who has been continuously absent from work for more than two (2) consecutive working days without prior leave approved by his immediate superior and has not informed or attempted to inform the company of any reasonable excuse for his absence is liable to instant dismissal without compensation.
8.0 Pay, Promotion 3.1 Relocation
Salaries are usually credited to employee's bank account on the 28th of the month. Details of your salaries are considered private and confidential and should never be disclosed or discussed with other colleagues. The Company will conduct a yearly review of employee's work performance for the year, usually at the end of the year. Employee's will be assessed on their work performance, quality of work, punctuality, attendance and also attitude. This appraisal will determine whether an employee is to be promoted or gets an increment. Relocations do happens when certain departments/outlets need manpower. Employees may be relocated to another department/outlet that require their expertise or services.

Grievance
All employees are to maintain reasonable standards of work and conduct at all times. In circumstances where an employee fails to meet the reasonable standard of work and conduct, the Company reserves the right to undertake disciplinary action against an employee in accordance to the principal of natural justice.
An employee may encounter problems and differences arising from different aspects of their employment, where most cases can be resolved by informal discussion within the department. But there may be occasions that an employee wishes to pursue the matter through other formal channels in the Company. It is the Company's policy to settle any grievances at the point of origin. Talk to our HR team if you need a listening ear.

The Company encourages training and education for individual development to meet its prime objective of providing excellent and quality service to our customers. Therefore, employee is required to attend and participate in any training organized by and/or nominated by the Company. If an employee requests for training or education assistance programme that cost more than RM5,000, he may be bonded in employment for a period of one (1) year. However, such privilege is subject to the sole and absolute discretion of the CEO. Courses identified by employees must however be relevant and be with the prior approval of his superior and/or the Company.

Every employee will be given an email address for official work purposes. i.e. siti.nurhaliza@20dbhearing.com All official announcements, meetings and group chats by the Company shall be through Microsoft Teams Channel
Products
Throughout the year, the Company will give briefings and training for the products that are offered and sold. Employees may also view the products / items in our webpage or other platforms, such as Lazada/Shopee, Tiktok, Facebook.
