FLIPPED CLASSROOM
A questionnaire was administered measuring students’ perceptions of flipped classroom in general, video as a learning tool, and Moodle as a supporting tool within the frame of a flipped classroom model. The results revealed that a large majority of the students had a positive attitude towards flipped classroom, the use of video and Moodle, and that a positive attitude towards flipped classroom was strongly correlated to perceptions of increased motivation, engagement, increased learning, and effective learning.
During the 3 workshopswill exam the ways to use the flipped classroom in our peadagogical procedure
what flipped classroom is
The education has been pressured to shift towards more flexible, effective, active, and student-centered teaching strategies that mitigate the limitations of traditional transmittal models of education. Lately, the flipped classroom model has been suggested to support this transition.

More info about flipped classroom
Thus, instead of students listening to a lecture in class and then going home to work on a set of assigned problems, they read course literature and assimilate lecture material through video at home and engage in teacher-guided problem-solving, analysis and discussions in class.
The flipped classroom model is based on the idea that traditional teaching is inverted in the sense that what is normally done in class is flipped or switched with that which is normally done by the students out of class.

Pre-class Assignments
In the flipped classroom, students must obtain foundational material outside of class as preparation for in-class activities.
Self-paced learning generally refers to the learners controlling their study time compared to time controlled by an outside influence
Self-directed learning can be defined as allowing learners to make decisions about the information they want to experience.
These learning theories suggest that pre-class learning activities must have clear goals, allow for self-pacing to optimize attention and effort, and provide self-assessment to help students monitor learning gains.
Self-regulated learning refers to processes that enable individuals to guide their goal-directed learning activities over time.
WHAT WE NEED
TO CREATE A VIDEO OR AN INTERACTIVE VIDEO
TO CREATE AN ON LINE CLASS
2nd step is to have a digital class, like google classroom so there we can upload our videos and communicate with our students
1st step is to design and develop pre-class video or reading material. We can create also interactive videos with questions
CREATING VIDEOS
web tools for videos: video creator from windows 10, movie maker, animoto, genial.ly for interactive videos: for record your screen : screen cast o matic, ice cream screen recorder, ezvid video maker
There are too many web tools to create videos and presentations. The next step is to use other tool to record our screen to explain the presentation or video to our students.

IN CLASSES ACTIVITIES
After the preparation and design of activities for the in-class portion of your class, your primary role will be to monitor, guide, and support the learning process of your students. Students will have varied levels of understanding and comprehension after having completed the out-of-class work. After assessing their understanding in the online environment, you may approach the in-class activities in one of two ways: individual or group-based activities.
Group activities are often the goal of the in-class portion of the flipped classroom. Each student will bring their own individual understanding of the content to the lesson, and together, in small groups, they will be able to draw on each other’s knowledge and understanding of the material to forge new understandings and better recall the content.
STEM
STEAM
The acronym STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) first appeared in the USA in 2001 and referred to the integrated and unified design of the teaching of its individual fields at all levels of education. This was done simultaneously with the abolition of the teacher-centered teaching model and its replacement by one that emphasizes the discovery method of knowledge, research and interdisciplinary tasks and activities. The purpose of STEM education is to connect learning - theoretical knowledge - with reality - practical application - in order to bring students closer to the needs of modern society.
Undoubtedly, Science is everywhere in the world around us. Technology is constantly expanding in every sector/branch of our lives. Engineering is the basis for the design of roads and bridges, but in today's society it is more than that, because it is faced with the global challenges of weather conditions and requires environmentally friendly proposals/ideas. Mathematics is behind every profession and activity of our life.
